Three to Ride (Nights in Bliss, Colorado #1) by Lexi Blake

My Rating: 5 Stars
Sex Scenes: Yes.
Series: Yes, Nights in Bliss, Colorado #1
Subject: The missing piece to a perfect puzzle.
Synopsis:
Rachel Swift is a woman on the run.

A stalker sent Rachel's world reeling. Now she's running for her life, and Bliss, CO, seems like the perfect place to hide. Bliss is a strange little town, filled with artists, nudists, and the occasional conspiracy nut. It's a good place to start over.

Max and Rye are just the men to catch her.

Horse trainer Max and Sheriff Rye gave up on their dream of finding one perfect woman to share long ago. Rachel walks in, and they're both in love and fighting their true natures.

A town like no other….

When Rachel's past catches up with her, all of Bliss is in danger. Rachel knows she should run, but how can she leave behind the love she's found with Max and Rye and the home she's built in Bliss? With her whole town behind her, Rachel is ready to make her stand. It's time for her to get back in the saddle and ride.

Rachel was on the run, she had been hurt a lot in her past and she was scared of trusting anyone.

Her car breaking down in Bliss was the best thing that could ever happen to her. Even though everyone seemed a little crazy at first they were going to show her that people can surprise you.

Max was for sure an unexpected surprise, from the moment she laid eyes on him she knew there was something special and irresistible about him, but she had no idea what she was in for.

When Max saw Rachel time stood still, he had to get her, even if that meant stopping his crazy mood swings and his visits to jail. He turned himself into a new man and almost everyone in town were shocked and exciting about this new love story.

Everyone but Rye, he wanted to be, but he had no idea how to stop being Max's other half.

Rachel was everything they both wanted but was she willing to let go of her inhibitions and try this unconventional life style or was she planning on walking away from them altogether?

When the monsters from the past come knocking on their doors they have no other choice but to fight back, because giving up is not an option now that they found bliss.

A thrilling and sexy story, I loved all three of them so much! Max was just this grumpy sweet caveman that you just couldn't resist; Rye was preppy and proper on the outside, but dark and domineering on the inside, just every woman's fantasy. And finally Rachel, she was sexy, confident and so strong. I don't think she even knew how strong she really was until the moment to fight came.

A must read

EXCERPT

Max’s hands slid down to cup his girlfriend’s perfect cheeks. He pulled her close and didn’t try to disguise the erection he was sporting. It had been days since he’d gotten inside her. It was starting to make him crazy.
“Hello, gorgeous,” he breathed as he leaned down to slant his mouth across hers.
Rachel softened against him and wrapped her arms around his neck. She didn’t protest as his tongue swept in to play with hers. He hauled her up so her feet were dangling. It was the only way to get her pussy where he wanted it. He rubbed himself against her. He knew it made him a caveman, but he wanted to mark her as his. He wanted her to get a tattoo on that perfect ass of hers that read Property of the Harper Brothers.
Max set her down. His brain went there all the time now. He couldn’t stop thinking about Rachel between him and Rye. “What’s for breakfast?”
“Pancakes and sausage,” she replied with a suspicious gleam in her eyes.
He kissed her forehead gently and went to sit down at the kitchen table. He was very careful since she was studying him like she was trying to guess what he would do next. He didn’t want her to figure out what he was thinking. He had more than one thing he needed to hide from her today. He schooled his features to express nothing but innocence.
“Oh, God, what are you thinking?” Rachel looked utterly horrified. “Who are you going to kill?”
“What?” Max asked, holding his hands up in confusion.
She rounded the table and leaned over. He couldn’t help but notice she wasn’t wearing a bra. If he leaned in a bit, he could see the curve of her breasts and the faintest hint of nipple.
“Eyes up, mister,” she ordered in what he’d come to think of as her “drill sergeant” voice. His eyes obediently came up. He’d learnt when it was in his best interests to obey her immediately. His baby was one tough cookie, and he was man enough to admit he needed her to be that way. He would walk all over her otherwise. That would make for one boring relationship. Rachel kept him on his toes.
“Sorry, baby.” He would try to distract her with charm. He had some of that. He smiled and pulled her hand into his. He tugged her down onto his lap. “I can’t help it. I get distracted by your breasts. They’re pretty. And I’m really, really horny. We haven’t had sex in days. It’s killing me.”
She rolled her eyes and sighed. Her arms went around his neck. “You just had surgery. You haven’t even had the stitches out yet. The doctor said we should wait a few days.”
“It’s been almost a week.” He put a little whine in his voice. Maybe if she thought he was simply horny, she would forget her suspicions. It was imperative that she not figure out what he had done after she’d gone to sleep. “I promise I could be super still. I would lie perfectly still, and you could do all the work.”
She grinned. It did strange things to his heart. “That sounds tempting. I’ll call the doctor today, and I’ll see if we can get him to let you off the leash.”
She kissed his cheek. She got up and went to the stove, where she poured out pancake batter. Max relaxed.
She rounded on him suddenly. “You’re sure you’re not planning something terrible?”
She knew him far too well. He grimaced inwardly. This was where Rye would come in handy. Rye could distract her. Rachel was far too much woman for one man. He needed his brother because Max had figured out that a tag team approach was required when Rachel got saucy. But he was all on his own now. He didn’t like the feeling.
“Baby, I’m planning on doing some light work around the barn. I’m going to spend some time with Sunflower, and then I’ll have Rye drive me into Del Norte for my checkup. That’s my plan.” It was true. It was part of his plan. He didn’t mention the stop he intended to make.
Her eyes narrowed, and he wondered briefly if she could make that spatula into a weapon. He thought she probably could. Max sighed. He could make it into one, too. He could pull her over his lap and shove those boxers off her hips, then spank that pert rear. He wouldn’t hurt her. He’d simply get her bottom all pink and pretty. He’d rather use his hand, though.
“You have crazy eyes today, Max. What did you just think?” she asked breathlessly.
Rye stood in the doorway. He had on jeans and a T-shirt. His hair was still wet from his shower. “He was wondering how you would handle it if he pulled you across his lap and spanked you with your spatula. You should use your hand, Max. It would be better.”
Rachel’s mouth fell open. She looked between the two of them like she was trying to figure out what to say.
Max pointed at Rye. “He said it.”
Rye shrugged. “He was thinking it.”
“So were you.”
Rye’s face fell. Max saw him look down at the crotch of his jeans. “Damn it.”
Rye turned and walked back down the hall. Max knew exactly where he was going.
“What’s wrong with him?” She looked concerned as his brother marched off.
Max smiled broadly. Rye had done his job. She wasn’t thinking about his potential plans anymore. She set a plate in front of him.
“I guess he’s not hungry,” Max lied.
His brother was hungry, all right. He’d been hungry since the minute he laid eyes on Rachel.

Two Wedding Crashers (Dating by Numbers #2) by Meghan Quinn

My Rating: 4 Stars
Sex Scenes: Yes.
Series: Yes, Dating by Numbers #2
Subject:  Two lost souls searching for each other who happened to meet in paradise.
Synopsis:
I don’t know what love is anymore.

Well, that’s not entirely true, but I’m going to tell you a little secret: I’ve lost the spark.

You know the kind of spark I’m talking about?

Where butterflies take flight in your stomach from two hands innocently colliding. Or catching your breath when you first meet someone attractive. Yeah, that spark.

Except I haven't felt that feeling in forever; there is nothing left inside of me.

Normally, this wouldn’t be a problem--but I’m a writer on a serious deadline, and my editor is breathing down my neck for a romantic, Nicholas Sparks type love story. No pressure, right?

That's how I find myself flying across the country to crash a wedding in the name of research, dress and heels stuffed into my small suitcase.

It should be the easiest book research ever. Drinking some free champagne, basking in the love of two strangers, and tapping into my romantic side. That will be a breeze. I'm a pro. I can handle this.

Until I mistakenly end up in the wrong hotel room, naked as the day I was born, with the sexiest human I have ever met staring me down, wondering what I'm doing taking a shower in his bathroom. I don't think calling it research will get me out of this pickle.

But it will make for one hell of a story...

I was giddy to start reading Beck's story, I loved him from the first book, I thought he had so much more to show us, and he definitely deserved his own happily ever after.

Crashing a wedding seems like the worst idea ever, but in a lucky break he meets the strangest and most alluring woman he has ever seen, and he can't seem to stay away from her.

Rylee seems to be having a hard time finding her muse, and her friends convince her this wedding would be the greatest opportunity to let go of whatever has been holding her back.

They weren't expecting meeting each other, nor the instant and crazy attraction and chemistry they had. But this was supposed to be a weekend fling and now letting go seems like the hardest thing they had ever done.

Beck was just perfect from the start, if we didn't know about his issue with his past we would think there is absolutely nothing wrong with him.

But we quickly find out, he is just pushing down his pain by being an in the moment kind of guy. Unfortunately, that is not a permanent fix and his darkness is slipping from the cracks and is threatening to destroy this beautiful thing he has with Rylee.

Rylee's pain and loss is holding her back and for some reason she doesn't think she is good enough to have a happily ever after like the characters of her books have.

They are both damages, but not broken, they need to let go of their past and fears and accept that maybe this thing they found could change everything, even though they weren't looking for anything, they might have found everything they needed.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.
Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.
Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!

EXCERPT
Chills scream their way down my arms and legs, my nipples pucker, and just like that, with one word, all humor vanishes from our little conversation and awareness of this all-consuming man wrapped around me hits me hard.
Gathering myself, I say, “Tell me something Chris and Justine know about you.”
“Hmm.” His thumbs hook under the waistband of my shorts, playing with the lower part of my hipbones. His touch spurs on my pelvis, needing to rock, begging for him to go lower. My toes curl in my sandals and my back slightly arches, reaching for more. “Something they know about me.”
His mouth doesn’t stray from its position against my ear, and his hips start to slowly move underneath me, his legs tangling with mine. Involuntarily, one of my hands hooks the back of his neck as I hold on tightly to him, feeling like I need support from the onslaught of sensation I’m feeling.
I hear him say something, but it doesn’t register in my brain, which has turned to mush as his thumbs stray from my hipbones to right above my pubic bone.
There is no denying how turned on I am, how wet I am from his mere touch, how much—despite my reservations—I want this man.
With each stroke, my head turns farther and farther to the side until our noses are touching, Beck’s head bends forward to meet me halfway. My eyes flutter shut for a brief moment before I open them and am captured by those flecks of green and gold.
The air stills around us, our breath mixing, swirling between us, our lips so close.
One swipe of this thumb.
Another one.
I can’t breathe.
I can’t focus.
Another swipe, my head leans even closer, my tongue wetting my lips.
One more swipe . . .
My heart hammers in my chest, my skin prickling with awareness.
Beck brings his mouth even closer, only a whisper away now, and he waits.
Holding still.
His breathing feeling erratic beneath me.
One.
More.
Swipe.
And I’m gone.
I bring my mouth to his, slowly parting my lips ever so slightly, just enough to maneuver my mouth across his.
A low, provocative moan escapes Beck as one of his hands snags the back of my head and holds me in place, almost as if he lets go, I’ll disappear.
Needing more, I shift on his lap so I’m straddling him once again, my hands on his bare chest, feeling the powerful sinew that holds him together.
Our lips press and mold, mingling, taking, begging . . .
Desperate.
Beck’s tongue runs against my bottom lip, eliciting a moan from deep within me, lighting a fire so hot, so wild, my hands start to travel up his neck to his cheeks where I grip him, positioning his head so when I open my mouth, I can expertly dive my tongue onto his.
He groans, his lap shifting against mine now, his hard-on pressing against my wet and throbbing center. I match his rocking, using my position on his lap to take advantage of his length I can feel through his board shorts.
This is exactly what I didn’t want to happen, but God, am I happy it has. Maybe I really should live in the moment, maybe I should take advantage of the opportunity, maybe I should…

I was so excited to immerse myself into this wicked world again! I've missed this guys so much since Tensley's last book.
And when we thought things couldn't get any better, we get Beau's story, I couldn't wait to get started.

He was such a mystery from the start, nobody could tell if he was happy, mad or ready to Rip someones throat off.
Now in this story we get the VIP pass to his brain and heart and I can tell you I was shocked at what I found. He was so much more than what it seemed, and I loved him even more for it.

His darkness consumed him day and night, and he found a way to keep his beast happy by fighting at the pit every opportunity he got, he was content. After everything that had happened in his past he didn't need anything else.

That is until he crossed paths with Lex, she was a pain in his ass and a responsibility he certainly didn't want to take on. But there was something about her that loured him in and he wasn't sure he could stay away.

Lex was trying to survive one day at a time and it was hard. Losing her friend was making it even harder, she couldn't fix a lot of things in her life but she could try to get her back.

That's how she found herself in the pit, surrounded by the worst of them all, and him. Beau was a raging storm to her senses and she didn't know what she wanted from him exactly, the only thing she was sure of was that she couldn't stay away.

Whatever his soul was made of, she wanted a taste.

Simply amazing! I don't want to spoil it for anyone... so no more sexy details!
