This story is driving me crazy, and I can’t put it down!

I was in a similar situation like our beloved Resse not long ago so I understand the fear of making a choice and the guilt that comes with lying and cheating on a person you love.

I trust she loves both brothers, but she is actually only in love with one. The moment she decides to let Mark in again she is no longer in love with Brian.

The fact that she is so scared she can’t seem to make a decision and just strings them along, drove me to insanity. She needs to make a choice and stick to it; not based on who wants to be with her, but who she wants, regardless if she will end up with them or not.

The decision is easy, maybe she is not supposed to be with any of the brother which would actually make things easier for her; she needs to take a break from it all and just decide.

I really enjoyed the passion between her and Mark, it’s a no brainier for me that she belongs with him. Brian keeps giving me a bad feeling; I can’t shake the suspicion that he’s known from the beginning.

Can’t wait for the next one!

Excerpt

What am I doing?

Dylan is my client’s brother.

Dylan is now my client.

I’m not interested in a match for myself. I’m not looking for love. I’m focused on work, and Dylan is my work.

The trouble is, my work turns me on more than I expected, and that’s for one elemental reason—I like him.

I like him so very much.

That’s why I jerk this conversation back to the purpose of these get-togethers—prepping him for his princess charming, whoever she may be.

I brush one palm against the other. “The big question is—are you ready for me to set you up on your first date? Or do you think the fall in yoga has set you back?” I wink.

“You think falling in yoga means I’m not ready to date?”

I laugh. Nervously. “Well, not entirely. But it did remind me what we talked about before we had tea. That we all have a bit of dork in us. So, I didn’t know if you wanted to walk through all the potential topics, moments, pitfalls, and so on.”

“Like a pre-date prep? Or maybe even a practice session?”

“Sure, we can practice now if you’d like,” I offer.

He doesn't answer right away. When he does, he takes his time, like he’s making an offer. “Or maybe we can practice in a true date simulation.”

Tingles race over my shoulders. “Like a practice date?”

His eyes twinkle like stars. “I need a practice date badly. Can I take you on one? It would be so helpful to review everything. Make sure I’m ready.”

When he puts it like that… “Yes, of course.”

I want him to put his best foot forward. I didn’t say yes because I want to date him. I wouldn’t do that, even though when he walks away, all I can think is how on earth did I wind up with a pitter-pattering heart for a man I’m handing off to another woman?

Love Profound (Cowboys & Angels #2) by Kelly Elliott

My Rating: 4 Stars
Sex Scenes: Yes.
Series: Yes, Cowboys & Angels #2.
Subject: When loving someone is as easy as breathing.
Synopsis
I write about love, but I’ve never experienced it. Sure, I’ve been with guys that I cared about. Even thought I found ‘the one’. He turned out to be the frog and not the prince.

A few Frank Sinatra songs and a wildly handsome cowboy who calls me Darlin’, will have me second guessing everything I ever thought I knew about love.

Does happily ever after really exist…or is it only something I write about in books?

Love Profound is book two in the Cowboys and Angels series.

This was a beautiful love story, in this book we get to read about Amelia's chance at happiness.

She is a romance writter and she knows all about writting a good love steamy story but she has no idea how it actually feels to be loved and swept off your feet by a prince charming.

Her life has always been about the rush of sex and keeping guys far away from her heart. She had been hurt badly and she hasn't found a way back yet.

Wade has darkness within him, he was not in a good place and lucky for him his friend was able to give him an out of his lonely and sad world.
He was happy to start over, but he wasn't expecting her, Amelia crushed every wall he had and he is sure there's nothing he can do to stop her from making a home in his heart.

They both need each other, they are slowly finding happiness where there was nothing but pain and now their biggest challenge is to finally let go of their deepest fears and embrace love.

A true love at first sight kind of story, the moment they see each other across the party they know deep inside them, that they have found everything that was missing.

Wicked Dirty (Stark World #2) by J. Kenner

My Rating: 5 Stars
Sex Scenes: Yes.
Series: Yes, Stark World #2
Subject: Something real in a world filled with mirages.
Synopsis
Sometimes, it feels so damn good to be bad...

From New York Times and #1 International bestselling author J. Kenner, the first in an all new series of fast-paced, provocative novels centering around the ambitious, wealthy, and powerful men who work in the glamorous and exciting world of the Stark International conglomerate … and the sexy and passionate women who bring them to their knees.

On the outside, Lyle Tarpin is a clean-cut Hollywood actor whose star is on the rise. Inside, he’s battling his own demons, shunning relationships and finding solace in the arms of a string of anonymous women paid very well for their discretion.

But when he’s photographed in a compromising position by an over-eager reporter, the only way to save his career is to say that the woman he was with is his fiancée. And now Lyle has to play a very public game with the only woman who’s ever managed to get under his skin.

Struggling waitress Sugar Laine agrees to spend one night with Lyle—but only because she’s desperate to save her family home. She never expects that a night of passion will turn into a pretend engagement … or that the heat between them will blossom into love.

But sometimes love has a price.

And now the only question is—can Lyle and Sugar afford to pay it?

Laine was in trouble and she had run out of options to get the money she needed to save her house.
Sleeping with a stranger seemed like a crazy Idea, but it was worth it, if it meant saving her house.

She was definitely not ready for the guy waiting on the other side of the door; or the feelings he would raise within her. She couldn't deny the pain she saw and she wasn't planning on being part of whatever demon he was escaping from.

Lyle tarping was living at the top; and on the outside he seemed happier than ever. Unfortunately we know how things work, and it turned out nobody really knew him.

He had a darkness that had been with him for a very long time and he couldn't shake it off; so he found a way of copping with the pain and guilt.

He was fine, until he saw her and now the just copping was never gonna be enough again.

Fate had things planned for them and they get thrown into an even more insane situation that could end up destroying them or bind them together forever.

A beautiful story about love, attraction and real value of things. Because in the end the house was not important anymore; she had found a new home in him.

EXCERPT

My blood pounds through my body, my heart beating so hard that I can feel the pressure not only against my ribs, but against the wall behind me. My lips are parted, my breath coming in shaky gasps.
He’s only inches away, so close I could reach out and touch that famous, gorgeous face. His eyes, as deep and blue as the summer sky, roam over me. He eases closer, moving slowly, his face reflecting a hunger that sends shivers through me.
Once again, my mind conjures the image of a hungry wolf. Only now I’m thinking that maybe getting eaten wouldn’t be so bad after all.
Besides, I’m here. Might as well enjoy it.
Then, of course, I remember exactly what it is.
Oh, God.
His fingertip brushes my forehead, and I almost jump out of my skin. I meet his eyes, see something that looks like irritation, and want to kick myself. I need to focus, dammit.
“You were somewhere else.” He speaks flatly, as if he’s working to keep all emotion out.
I shake my head, conjuring a lie. “I’m right here.” And then, because I’ve seen movies with call girls, I put my hand flat on his chest, trying to seem seductive. He’s wearing a gray T-shirt, and I can feel his heart beating beneath the planes of his muscled chest.
I read somewhere that he was getting in shape to play a superhero in an upcoming movie. And kudos to whoever’s orchestrating that transformation, because this guy is rock solid.
He’s still looking at me, and I fist my hand in the material of his shirt, needing an anchor against the storm of emotion I see playing out on his face. Desire. Hunger. Longing. Regret.
And pain. I see so much damn pain that I have to fight the urge to cup my palm against his cheek and tell him that whatever it is, it’s going to be okay.
Instead, I simply whisper, “Lyle?”
I’m not sure if it was the wrong thing or the right thing to say, but I know that it was unexpected. And before I can apologize or cover or say anything else at all, he is on me. One hand at my throat, the other hard on my breast. I’m pinned against the wall, helpless, as he claims my mouth again. Wildly. Brutally.
I try to think what I’m supposed to do—try to respond. But I’m trapped. I’m not Sugar. I’m not Laine. I’m not anyone. This isn’t about sex. It’s about pain and need and that storm of horrors I saw on his face. I might as well not even be here. And as his hand squeezes tight on my breast—as his mouth clashes so hard against mine that he draws blood—my only thought is that I shouldn’t have come at all. That this was stupid. Foolish. And that this night is going to leave me scarred.
I squeeze my eyes shut, trying to be what he wants. A warm body. An anonymous female.
But I can’t do it. I can’t do it at all.
All I can be is me. A woman desperate enough to have sex for money. A girl trying anything and everything to save her house. To protect her family’s memory.
I can be that girl.
But I can’t be nothing. I can’t be no one.
And as his hand tightens in my hair—as he kisses me violently—as his body presses hard against mine and I feel the steel of his erection—I know that I’ve made a terrible, horrible, awful mistake.
Stop!

Fraternize (Players Game #1) by Rachel Van Dyken

My Rating: 5 Stars
Sex Scenes: Yes.
Series: Yes, Fraternize (Players Game #1)
Subject: Which love will prevail? present or past.
Synopsis
Emerson just made her dream come true as a professional cheerleader for her favorite pro football team. But even though the plus-size athlete is breaking down boundaries, she still has to contend with the massive rulebook. Carbs? Nope. Chocolate? Definitely not. Still, Emerson loves her curves, and she’ll rock the hell out of this job even if it kills her. Except for one mandate that is easier read than done…

No fraternizing with the players.

Problem one is Miller Quinton: Emerson’s first love, first sex, and the guy who still ignites her daydreams and R-rated fantasies. Thrown back together, Miller and Emerson feel the undeniable pull of passion again, even if the conflict that tore them apart seems insurmountable. Then there’s way-too-sexy Grant Sanchez. He has a serious reputation with the ladies, and when it comes to winning someone he wants, he doesn’t let anyone stand in his way.

Now Emerson is breaking every rule in the manual. But what she doesn’t know is that she’s part of a wicked little game—one that could steal both her dream and her heart.

This book really surprised me, I loved the characters like I always do on Rachel's stories but I found myself rooting for the loosing guy. I guess the author thought it was time for a change from the usual romance novel plot... ( I will not spoil!!!).

Emerson was a likeable character, with an amazing personality and enough confidence to make it wherever she wanted, the sky was the limit.

And finally she had reached her heaven, she had the dream job; and that needed to be enough to let slide the lack of love life and the bad situation at home.

But destiny had other plans and she had one more obstacle to confront, in the for of two hot football players. Her past and her present, she needed to face her past in order to move on or in order to fix what was once broken.

Miller has lived for his career since she disappeared and he is still holding a grudge against her. Nothing has ever hurt as much as her betrayal and he hasn't let anyone get close enough to do it ever since.

But now that he has her right in front of him he is not sure that things happened as he remembers them; and there might be a way of fixing them.

Sanchez is a player, a joker and apparently totally taken by the new cheerleader.
I thought he was full of it until I started noticing  him changing. Emerson did that, she made him trust again and in exchange he was there for her, without restrictions. He wasn't going anywhere.

The choice will be hers, she needs to decide weather Miller deserves another chance to prove he made a mistake or give Sanchez a fighting chance, even though he is a well known womanizer.

And in the end let the best man win.
