The Bachelor Auction (The Bachelors of Arizona #1) by Rachel Van Dyken

My Rating: 4 Stars
Series: Yes, The Bachelors of Arizona #1
Sex Scenes: Yes.
Subject: Letting go of your Demons.

Synopsis

Cinderella never had to deal with this crap.

Jane isn't entirely sure that Cinderella got such a raw deal. Sure, she had a rough start, but didn't she eventually land a prince and a happily-ever-after? Meanwhile, Jane is busy waiting on her demanding, entitled sisters, running her cleaning business, and . . . yep, not a prince in sight. Until a party and a broken shoe incident leave Jane wondering if princes---or at least, a certain deliciously hunky billionaire---maybe do exist.

Except Brock Wellington isn't anyone's dream guy. Hell, a prince would never agree to be auctioned off in marriage to the highest bidder. Or act like an arrogant jerk---even if it was just a façade. Now, as Brock is waiting for the auction chopping block, he figures it's karmic retribution that he's tempted by a sexy, sassy woman he can't have. But while they can't have a fairy-tale ending, maybe they can indulge in a little bit of fantasy . .

My Review

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book, given by Netgalley.

This book was just perfect ! It's a real life Cinderella story with a whole bunch of funny jokes and sexy innuendos.

The main characters meet in the most unlikely way there is and it's better than perfect.

Jane is a simple woman, she lives for her family and her job and that's okay with her. She has this easy way about her that makes people drop their walls and that's exactly what happens when she crossed paths with sexy Brock.

Brock is always in control, which is sexy, but he controls everything and everyone so much that he hasn't been living for a while, he is used to do what what makes everyone else happy until he sees Plane Jane and something changes within him.

The story is hilarious, the characters made me laugh and cry a lot during their journey.

The main issue in the book is the characters not being able to achieve their happiness, because life was rough on both, and since that moment they have only lived to help others, to make their weight more bearable.

It was beautiful to watch them rediscover love and fighting for what they wanted for the first time in a long time.

The twin brothers are just an unexpected pleasure and I can't wait to read their stories... so much potential!
