My Review
I got this book for an honest review on Netgalley and it was equally thrilling and dark.
The promise of the money she desperately needs in exchange for something she's been doing since she was eighteen years old, it's too good to be true and a small price to pay for freedom.
Elyse character was unbelievable, she was so strong, even though life hadn't been fair to her she still had a true soul and her heart wasn't fully broken yet.
She accepted her feelings and she felt everything with such an intensity that scared her, because she never had the chance to really experience that before.
Quinn is another animal altogether, at first I was under the impression he was all darkness and not a good man. But he surprised me, he wasn't a bad man, but he was hurt on such a deeper level that you could see it clearly if you really looked into his eyes.
Together they were the perfect fit, both of them had another dark side that was lurking beneath the surface, and those also fitted as a couple of jigsaw pieces.
The sex scenes between Q and Lucky are perfection! They had an intensity that couldn't be faked, their connection transcended the mask they both wore, and that in the end was what saved Q.
He only lived for revenge, and he didn't think he will have anything else if he accomplished his ultimate goal, until she gave him a reason to live, something to want more than getting back at those who wronged him.
She gave him her heart and in return he let her in.
Beautiful story about loss and hurt, and what those things can do to someone.
A crude tale of the real damage that you could endure if faced with situations that surpass bad judgement calls and enter into evil territory.
I couldn't put this book down, it had kinky sex scenes, a plot that left you on the edge of your seat the whole time and some really bad guys who challenged the main characters on every turn.
