Synopsis
What would you do if you had only one more night?

The blue light is coming.
That strange blue light, burning hot and bright in the sky, is heading straight for Earth. And in less than eighteen hours, it’s going to destroy the world.
There’s no hope.
There will be no survivors.
This is the end of the world.

With nowhere else to go, eighteen year old Nan has returned to her hometown to spend her final hours with her mother and stepfather. But they’re long gone by the time she arrives, just like nearly everyone else. Everyone except Dean Knight.

Dean Knight.
Her stepfather’s bastard son.
Nan’s first love.
The boy who ruined her life.

But the boy who spread such awful lies about her is now the most beautiful man she’s ever seen, and Nan’s feelings haven’t gone away. With time running out and no one else to turn to, Nan takes one final chance and goes for the only thing she’s ever wanted;
One night with the man she’s always loved.
Before it’s too late.

GOODNIGHT SWEETHEART, GOODNIGHT is a New Adult romance novella of approximately 23,000 words. It's a heart-wrenching story of first loves and last chances. It's a short read, but it packs a powerful punch!

My Review

I got this book on Netgalley for an honest review, I chose to request it because there was something about the description that caught my attention, so I decided to follow my gut.

The book is a short read and I found myself thinking for a second, where is the rest? I need more ! But actually I didn't, it was just long enough to make an impression on me and fulfil its purpose.

What might that be you want to know? Well, this book tells us the story about a broken girl/woman, that's still in love with his first love, which in this case ends up being his only love, since the world is ending.

It makes us think, where would you want to spend your last day on earth? the clock is ticking and you know the exact time it will all be over, Where would you choose to be, what would you like to be doing and with whom?

Nan was faced with Dean, who was everything she ever loved and hated.

The concept that in the end nothing else matters, not the time people wronged you or how they hurt you and humiliated you, it's just that person that is giving you what you always wanted and there's no use on talking about your issues, because it won't make a difference you will die in just hours, you just get tonight.

What I felt while reading this book might be separated in two, first I found the idea of nothing mattering freeing and truly fascinating, this is not the type of book were the leading characters gets all the answers and fixes her hangs up on the past.
No, she just exists for the moment, the author created this sort of alternate reality where the characters existed for that moment in time detached from their memories, their past and present.
The second reaction I had was a lot like despair, it left me feeling moved and at the same time lost, it sounds a lot like mumble jumble but that's just how I felt, not easy to explain, you might have to read it and find out for yourself how this book makes you feel.
